Various Bits by zeedurrani
Various Bits
Various bits and bobs myself and Alex Drummond worked on for the game Ocean at War. These were designs for some of the ship weapons.

Check out Alex's work on his deviantart profile alexdrummo.deviantart.com/. He's the mastermind behind most of the designs, super experienced guy and learnt loads from him on the project.

P.S I don't normally work too much with line work as I prefer concepting with value and shape, but the role required plenty of it when submitting designs to 3D. Still not a major strength of mine but getting better at that process too.

Cyberpunk Environment - Sketch WIP by zeedurrani
Cyberpunk Environment - Sketch WIP
An environment/mood sketch for the cyber punk game "Exile Online".

Typically this is what I submit as the finalised sketch/concept. Once approved, it'll go in for a clean up i.e. tightening up edges, applying details and fixing any other issues. From here onwards it's pretty relaxing to finish the image. Any way just thought I'd share the general client pipeline I usually deal with. I'll post the finished version when I'm done too.

The universe and story behind this game looks really cool. They're aiming for a kickstarter in early 2015 of which the images I've been commissioned for will be featured. You can check out more about the game at exile-online.com/

Always nice to take a break from my day job where I'm normally concepting vehicles and weapons.

As usual wacom and photoshop CS6 (Around 2 hours).

Robot Head Sketches by zeedurrani
Robot Head Sketches
Sorry haven't posted anything in a while so here's some quick robot head sketches.

No real idea behind these just random stuff. General process is to start doing one head then copy and paste it 4 times and paint over them to create more variations. What you'll usually find is that your original ideas will be really rubbish so working on 3-4 versions at the same time is a really nice way to push beyond the crappy designs. These types of loose sketches also don't take too long so great when on tight deadlines.

As usual photoshop CS6 and a wacom (Around 2 hours).

P.S Will be doing a couple of environments for a new cyberpunk game project over the next couple of weeks :) Should be interesting to see how they turn out.

Ocean At War - Concept Art by zeedurrani
Ocean At War - Concept Art
Some art for the naval RTS game I'm currently working on at Konka Studios. My brief was to create an action scene.

Game is set 100 years in the future (semi post apocalyptic storyline). Release date set for 1.1.2015 :)

As usual painted in photoshop with a Wacom.

P.S Created a drawcrowd account last week, if you're on there feel free to follow.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to give a shout out to everyone that watches or faves my work... :) It's always a pleasure to hear from you guys.

It's been a great year for me here on DA and a lot of it is down to the motivation and excitement I get off you guys. I hope it keeps getting better!

My present situation is that I'm extremely busy in my new concept art job, working on a naval warfare game. So for now personal stuff is largely on hold, however I will try to get some speed paints out very soon :)

At some point I also hope to share some of the production work I'm doing. Mainly linework and cleanups for passing onto the 3D teams for modelling. So not very exciting but cool to see never the less. Especially if you're interested in the industry.

Thanks again guys...
